FINANCIAL PROVISION FOR SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS

Financial provision for mobility of scholarship holders in accordance with obligations arising from international agreements in the field of education 

Scholarship holders admitted to a study stay, scientific stay or research stay in the Slovak Republic
Scholarship holders are provided a scholarship for covering living costs during the approved length of the study stay, scientific stay or research stay. 
The scholarship is provided for the whole month, even if the conditions for its provision were met only for part of the month.
The scholarship holder is obliged to return any undue payment of the scholarship. 

Payment of a scholarship and a supplement to the scholarship in the context of an emergency 
a)    If a scholarship holder is unable to carry out an approved stay in the Slovak Republic as a host state or if a scholarship holder from the Slovak Republic is unable to carry out an approved stay in the country of the host institution (hereinafter referred to as "physical mobility"), the scholarship holder may complete the mobility remotely (hereinafter referred to as "virtual mobility") under the following conditions: 
1.    the scholarship holder or the host institution adequately justifies the circumstances of the emergency for which it is not possible to carry out physical mobility, and
2.    the host institution confirms that the scholarship holder can carry out virtual mobility while vouchering that it would still be possible to fulfill the essence of the planned stay.
b)    During virtual mobility, the scholarship holder is provided with a scholarship or a supplement to the scholarship in the amount of 50% of the approved amount of the scholarship or supplement to the scholarship for physical mobility.

c)    If the physical mobility, given the objective circumstances, is combined with virtual mobility in a given month, the scholarship or supplement to the scholarship shall be awarded under the following conditions:
1.    each month of physical mobility is considered as a month of physical mobility for the purpose of determining the amount of the scholarship or the amount of the supplement to the scholarship, and
2.    virtual mobility carried out in the relevant month does not affect the amount of the scholarship or the supplement to the scholarship approved for the physical mobility; the duration of virtual mobility in a given month is assessed as if it were physical mobility
