Project meeting INT VET DUAL, December 6, 2016, Esslingen

On 6 December 2016, a meeting of project partners INT VET DUAL was held at the premises of the Landesacademy of further education and personnel development in Esslingen, Germany. The subject of the meeting was ongoing evaluation of the project results and achieving the objectives of project working groups.
The key point of the meeting was the presentation of four models and alternative scenarios for the establishment of a competence center for the dual education and training - Danube Academy, as well as the selection criteria and creating the final design for reliable model variant.
The opening and invitation session by former Secretary of State Štefan Chudoba, was followed by a presentation of the project coordinator Lubica Pitlová, which assessed the successful achievements of the project working groups.
Monika Rybová presented the project activities of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic (MESR&S SR), and introduced alternative scenarios and models of the Danube Academy, which was later the subject of evaluation of the working groups. She also introduced a scheme of integration of the Danube Academy as part of the reform of the dual education and training in Slovakia.
The proposal of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic (MESR&S SR), is to create 31 groups of experts, in accordance with existing number of study fields. The proposal should demonstrate a reliable framework for implementation and the mobilization of SMEs and companies for the dual vocational education and training in the long run.
One of the key criteria is to create tools and structures for financing. The potential composition of these structures, after evaluating the working groups, should consist of employers, higher territorial units, or representatives of the Ministry of Finance, in order to ensure sustainability and further development and implementation of the project.
Ladislav Šatka (ŠIOV) presented and reviewed the activities of WP5. Pavel Korbas introduced an upcoming final project brochure and Katarina Hazuchová presented concrete results of WP5, in accordance with prepared communication strategy.
Most of the comments and stimulating proposals was related to the consolidation and alignment of terminology on the different education systems of individual countries themselves and with the European Commission. Namely, the importance of strengthening links between research and work packages was highlighted.
At the close of a meeting, a representative of the project quality assessment (WP2) evaluated a successful progression of the project, highlighting the importance of innovative approaches and solutions to ensure the project sustainability. Simultaneously, the satisfaction survey of project participants with the meeting and the achievement of project objectives and expectations of further project development were undertaken.
