International Measurements

     The Slovak Republic is involved in several international measurements organised by OECD and IEA. The aim of these  measurements is to observe the achievements of educational systems of participating countries and their changes in time, to discover their strong and weak aspects and to find out possibilities for improvement. At present, in Slovakia six international studies are being implemented - OECD PISA and TALIS and studies of IEA PIRLS, TIMSS, ICCS and ICILS. The national coordination centre for international studies in Slovakia is The Department of International Measurements at NÚCEM (National Institute for Certified Educational Measurements).
