      <title>Presentation of the Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport, Eugen Jurzyca, on the 36th UNESCO´s General Conference</title>

      <description>&lt;p style="text-align: justify;"&gt;     On 28th October 2011 the Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic, Eugen Jurzyca, came up in the General political debate on the &lt;em&gt;36th UNESCO´s General Conference&lt;/em&gt; in Paris. In his presentation he declared support of the Government of the Slovak Republic to UNESCO task in meeting its millennium targets in field of education, science, culture, social sciences and communication and information.&lt;br /&gt;     He stressed importance of effectiveness of education in current world context and need for better availability of information on quality of education. He mentioned the priority of Slovakia in field of education of disadvantaged children and appreciated UNESCO´s interest in this European issue.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>The new call for applications within the National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic</title>

      <description>&lt;p style="text-align: justify;"&gt;     The new call for applications within the &lt;strong&gt;National Scholarship Programme&lt;/strong&gt; of the Slovak Republic is open.  The &lt;strong&gt;deadline for submission&lt;/strong&gt; of applications is the &lt;strong&gt;October 31st 2011&lt;/strong&gt; at 16:00 CET (4:00 pm Central European Time). Scholarship stays can be planned for the summer semester of the running academic year 2011/2012. Applications can be submitted online at &lt;a href="http://www.scholarships.sk/"&gt;www.scholarships.sk&lt;/a&gt; (foreign applicants).&lt;br /&gt;     The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic is intended to support mobility of foreign students, PhD students, university teachers and researchers to stay at Slovak universities and Slovak research organisations.&lt;br /&gt;     The scholarships of the National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic are also intended for students and PhD students of the Slovak universities to cover living costs of their study at a second level of higher education, or of their study or research stay during their PhD study, at a foreign University or at a foreign research organization. Students, full-time PhD students, university teachers and researchers from the Slovak Academy of Sciences who have permanent residence in the Slovak Republic can apply for a travel grant for their study or research stay abroad.&lt;br /&gt;     The applicants can find &lt;strong&gt;detailed information&lt;/strong&gt; about the Programme at &lt;strong&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.scholarships.sk/"&gt;www.scholarships.sk&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; in Slovak, English, Russian, French and Spanish language.&lt;br /&gt;     Establishment of the National Scholarship Programme for the Support of Mobility of Students, PhD Students, University Teachers and Researchers was approved by the Government of the Slovak Republic in 2005. The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic is funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic and administered by SAIA, n. o. (Slovak Academic Information Agency).&lt;br /&gt;     The following deadline for the submission of applications is planned for the 30 April 2012 for scholarship stays during the academic year 2012/2013.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
